Woman mentoring as a gift

You have several gifts, not just one.

Remember that you don’t only have one gift; you have several. Your gifts should feel completely natural to you. While you may need to develop and learn more about them, they shouldn’t feel like work, and you shouldn’t suffer while engaging with them.

That said, some gifts, such as speaking and using your voice, can feel intimidating. If something scares you but you have an inner desire to pursue it, that is a sign that it is one of your gifts. On the other hand, activities that are not aligned with your path and are your gifts—like traveling, for instance—will not ignite a desire in you. If you have no interest in traveling, it’s not a gift you possess.

Listen to your intuition

Our intuition guides us through a sense of ”inner calling” and knowing related to our desires. Our gifts and purpose reveal themselves in what lights us up and makes us interested in something.

Listen to your gut and follow your inner compass

You might not even notice your talents & gifts

These amazing gifts just come so naturally to you. So you don’t even consider them gifts, but they are. And a lot of people say that, well, I don’t deserve to get paid for that. It’s so easy because they have this belief that if you’re actually gonna get paid for anything, you need to suffer, it needs to be hard, otherwise you won’t deserve getting paid for it.

And that’s not true.

It might be true for you if that is what you’re telling yourself, but it doesn’t have to. So, your gift comes naturally. It’s like making a coffee in the morning, but it’s nice to be humble. You can’t be humble about things that you’re not good at. Humbleness comes from being good at something. If you are a great teacher, it’s good to be humble.

Are you programmed to believe your talent is not valuable?

We are also very programmed on what gifts are considered valuable in a city and not depending on our family beliefs and culture. But set that aside and follow your heart and guidance, not expectations and fears.

Your gifts don’t feel like work.

There are times when we do things for free, but there are also times when we actually need to have some kind of exchange for our services and what we do. So, you need to use your discernment when it comes to this. But only because something comes easy to us, feels natural to us, doesn’t feel like work, doesn’t mean we don’t deserve to get paid for it. Don’t fall into the trap that only because something is easy, you don’t deserve to receive anything for it.

There are times to do things for free and times to get paid, use your discernment.

We should strive to live our lives without the expectation of receiving anything in return. Transactional relationships based on conditions can hold us back from creating an authentic existence filled with unconditional love, freedom, peace, and joy.

Our actions become wholehearted and pure when we do things simply because we want to. When we align our work with our values, surround ourselves with the right people, and share our gifts out of genuine desire—not out of survival—we naturally invite abundance into our lives. This law of giving and receiving isn’t always about money; it can manifest as health, support, resources, and time. Embrace the beauty in giving freely!

Your gifts do not have to be your job; it can just be your way of moving through life.

Our gifts extend beyond our jobs; they embody a way of living, defining our very existence. You might be a teacher not just as a profession but in moments when you share your knowledge and wisdom with those eager to learn.

It’s important to exercise discernment, as we cannot teach everyone around us—it could lead to exhaustion and frustration, and not everyone is ready or wants to receive our insights.

Again, your gift doesn’t have to be your job, yet imagine the fulfillment of engaging in work that ignites your passion, showcases your talents, and comes naturally to you. We invest so much time and effort into our work; wouldn’t it be wonderful to pursue a path that uplifts and energizes us instead of draining our spirit? It is possible, but we must pursue it for the right reasons.

Many people limit themselves by believing it’s not possible, that you have to suffer to make a living, rather than embracing their worthiness and having faith. What you believe will come true (the placebo effect), so be mindful of the limiting beliefs you create in your mind.

Shift your mindset from mere survival to being of service, and watch the blessings and people flow into your life. I am not here trying to convince anyone to change their mind, but it’s a belief I’ve internalized through my own experiences and what I’ve witnessed others share over and over again. It’s a truth I embody and live by each day, and it makes me love life.

Be aware of your critical voice.

But we also need to be aware, because ”darkness” has a habit of sneaking in as the shape of our inner critical voice, telling us:

  • To go back to the familiar
  • That we are not worthy
  • That we are not good enough

Be mindful of that inner critical voice and embrace your gifts and worthiness. Practice your talents for the right reasons—because of your desire, love, and care—rather than out of guilt or a need for survival (to get something out of it). Let your authenticity and inner spirit guide you.

Every hero, including you, needs an adventure, though it may look different for each person. We are always led by our intuition, but many people have chosen to shut this part of us down meaning the signal is very weak. When you start to follow your inner guidance again, you can’t predict the outcome; life becomes an adventure we are all created to have because that makes us feel life.

When we follow our intuition, we only know what the next step is. Therefore, we need to learn how to trust that process and be comfortable with not having a complete roadmap. Although it can be scary, it’s also exhilarating because life can offer so much more than we plan for when we allow it to unfold. Embrace the potential for a fun and exciting life created by the greater good.
